Supply System
The EYEFEEDER System
The EYEFEEDER system is a flexible, patented supply system based on a band conveyer with an additional jogging system. Both systems are operated by servomotors.
The supplying speed as well as the jogging intensity or jogging pattern are easily adjusted on the SENSO “Teaching Pendant”. Based on this option one can change the product without great effort.
The software and hardware (controller/ drives/ servomotors) are completely incorporated in the DENSO Robot controller. This way additional Drives such as PLC’s and IPC’s are redundant.
A band conveyer delivers the product to the EYEFEEDER platform. The intelligent jogging system positions and turns around the products so the vison system can read them. After the product has been recorded the vision system conveys the products coordinates to the robot. The robot captures the product and places it into the desired position.
In case there are not enough sufficiently positioned products, the vision system informs the EYEFEEDER system to repeat the jogging process. In general, if there aren’t enough products available, the vision system commands the band conveyer to deliver more products.
MINI Eyefeeder
The MINI EYEFEEDER is a patented system with a "pneumatic" shaking mechanism. The software of the MINI EYEFEEDER is integrated into the DENSO robot controller. The two systems communicate via the "parallel I/O" interface. To achieve successful product placement, the shaking patterns can be set with the DENSO Teaching Pendant. Due to the small dimensions of the device, it can be easily integrated into compact robot cells. A further advantage of this device is its compatibility in a clean room.
The MINI EYEFEEDER comes with "Back Light" as standard.
VISION SYSTEM
Depending on what product are passing through your EYEFEEDER system, any vision system can be used. The vision component is connected directly to the DENSO robot controller via Ethernet. The DENSO robot controller is equipped with several libraries (interface providers) from different vision system manufacturers. This setup allows easy communication via TCP/IP. Due to the jointly defined protocols, the programming effort is reduced to a minimum. The vision system can be displayed via the DENSO Teaching Pendant, which makes additional HMI's unnecessary.
Robotics
DENSO has a wide range of 4 and 6-axis robots, which can be used for loads from 3 to 20 kilograms and a arm reach of 350 to 1300 millimetres. The whole range can be used in combination with the EYEFEEDER. This means easy positioning with a 4-axis robot (SCARA) or direct mounting with a 6-axis robot. The powerful PLC function in the DENSO RC8 robot allows direct handling of the EYEFEEDER, vision system or both components together through the teaching counterpart. Additional HMI's, PLC's or controllers are no longer necessary.
